My Approach
Our physical health is deeply connected to our mental, emotional, spiritual, and social health. When I began mending my own relationship with food and my body after being caught in the lies and limitations of diet culture, I experienced unexpected breakthroughs in other areas of my life. I am honored to help my clients pursue far-reaching healing starting with a supportive approach to nutrition.

I practice from a weight-neutral, non-diet perspective. This means I’m not focused on weight loss or restrictive meal plans. I care far more about helping you build a peaceful, supportive relationship with food—one that prioritizes your whole self, not just a societal body standard. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, worn out by years of dieting, in recovery from an eating disorder, or simply seeking clarity and ease in a world full of nutrition noise, it's my goal to help you build a nutrition framework that enhances your life rather than limiting it.
Non-Diet Diabetes Support
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 17, so I know firsthand the frustrations and fears that come with living with a chronic disease. Whether your diagnosis is brand new or decades old, I'd love to work with you on identifying realistic nutrition strategies to manage your blood sugars and restore enjoyment with food. All types of diabetes are welcome!
Sustainable Nutrition for PCOS
Worried your PCOS diagnosis means you'll never enjoy carbs again? Feeling lost in the sea of diets, supplements, and strategies being thrown your way? It's overwhelming! I help women with PCOS establish a flexible nutrition framework that supports their hormonal health and honors their food preferences.
Support for Binge Eating
Binge eating disorder (BED) is the most common eating disorder in the United States, but navigating BED can be incredibly lonely and isolating. If you are struggling with binge eating or BED, you are not alone, and you are not broken. Let's work together to restore ease and trust in your connections with food and with yourself.

My Story
Though I now live in Richmond, Virginia, I'm originally from Wisconsin and went to college in the Chicago area. I spent a few years working in corporate finance, and during that time I learned some important things: (1) I'm much more fulfilled connecting with people than connecting with Microsoft Excel, (2) nutrition and physiology are fascinating, and (3) I am deeply passionate about healing and freedom. The rest, as they say, is history! After completing my master's degree in nutrition science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and my on-the-job training in Chicago, I launched Katherine Cassidy Nutrition. It is my joy to do this work.
