How it Works

2
Nutrition Assessment
Our first appointment will be an hour long and will be focused on your health history, your eating patterns and concerns, and your relationship with your body. This appointment is key in laying the foundation for our work together moving forward. All appointments will be held via video call through a secure telehealth platform.
3
Ongoing Care
Follow-up appointments will be 50 minutes, and we'll meet weekly or every other week to start. During appointments, we'll discuss a variety of topics. For example, we may examine recent thoughts and behaviors around eating, discuss relevant nutrition topics, review goals we've set, or problem solve current challenges with food.
-
Who do you work with?I work with adults 18+ who live in Virginia (my current home) and Illinois (my former home). If you don't live in one of these states but want to work together, reach out! I'm always open to considering licensure in more places.
-
Where will we meet? All sessions take place via video call through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. If you have a phone or computer with video capability and stable internet connection, we'll be in good shape!
-
How often will we meet? Most clients start off meeting with me weekly or every other week. We'll decide on frequency during our initial meeting and will adjust as needed based on your needs and preferences. After our first meeting, which takes a full hour, appointments are 50 minutes long.
-
How much does it cost to work with you?The first appointment (60 mins) costs $170. Follow-up appointments (50 mins) cost $135.
-
Do you accept insurance?I do not currently accept in-network insurance, but I will gladly provide a detailed receipt (called a superbill) upon request that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. If you plan to seek reimbursement, I recommend connecting with your insurance provider first to verify out-of-network nutrition services coverage. Additionally, most HSA/FSA plans are accepted forms of payment.
-
How does faith fit in?I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and belief systems. My approach is always client-centered, respectful, and inclusive. I believe that healing is a whole-person process, and for some clients, faith is an important part of that process. As a Christian, I am glad to integrate Christian principles into my practice when requested by the client.

What is a registered dietitian?A registered dietitian (RD) is a credentialed healthcare professional who uses evidence-based knowledge to help people improve their nutritional health. As an RD, I have completed specialized education and training, including a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, a supervised clinical training program, and a national credentialing exam. In addition to ongoing continuing education requirements, I prioritize staying up to date with developments in nutrition science and research so that I can support my clients as effectively as possible.
